Welcome to the 20th Annual TBE Men's Club Golf Outing
Thanks for joining us at the 20th Annual Temple Beth-El Men's Club Golf Outing. This year's outing is truly unique. The Men's Club has needed to make many adjustments to hold this outing, while also creating a special and meaningful experience for all. We've accomplished that. There will be lots of new things this year, but in challenge also comes opportunity. And we're confident that as a result, this outing will shine as a wonderful example of "what's possible" - and be an even more enjoyable experience for all of us.
As you would expect, we will follow all state and local guidelines for golf. All golfers will receive greens fees, individual carts, one ticket for The BIG Raffle and a premium gift. Plus a few other goodies!
Here are some highlights of our program:
- This will be an "assigned tee time" event. Tee times will start at 8:45 am and will run every 12 minutes;
- Contest's will rely on 'self-reporting' of results;
- Our playing format will be a "handicapped stroke play" game, with a single team score;
- All golfers will pre-register and prepay before the event. We will have no on-site registration, check-in, or the ability to transact payments;
- Each golfer will have their own golf cart;
- The BIG Raffle and our Silent Auction will be held virtually and close out about 2 weeks after the golf outing; and
- At 8:00 pm that evening we'll host The BIG Show; own own virtual version of the ESPY's, hosted by sports talker and comic Spike Manton. The BIG Show will include entertainment (music & comedy), sponsor, golfer and volunteer videos, as well as our presentation of contest and outing winners.
It's hard to believe it's been 20 years since our first event with 20 players at Midlane CC on 9/10/01. With innovation and insight we've found not just a way, but a wonderful way, to make this event into a special day.
The Temple Beth-El Men's club does many great things each year to support our community. From camper scholarships to building repairs, campus maintanance and sponsoring a championship softball team. And of course hosting on-going and special events. We support our temple in very tangible ways.
